Windows VPN HOW-TO Install |

The following article discusses how to install the VPN client on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
This article assumes that you have a properly installed and configured wireless network adapter on your Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista-based computer. If you have not yet installed or configured your wireless adapter, first follow the instructions provided by your wireless network card manufacturer, then return to these instructions.
NOTE : The following is the minimum requirements.
- 2000 Professional SP4
- XP Professional SP2 32-bit or 64-bit, XP Home SP2, or XP Media Center 2005
- Vista 32-bit or 64-bit
- Windows 2003 server SP2, 32-bit or 64-bit
In addition to the above requirements one of the following Java Environments must be installed.
- Sun JRE 5/1.5.07 and above
- Microsoft JVM - for Windows 2000
-   OR Active-X must be allowed
Installation of the VPN Client
- Create a folder on your desktop named 'Wireless VPN'.
- Download the VPN client files for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Save the file to the 'Wireless VPN' folder you created in step 1.
- Download the following :
VPN Setup Service for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista (includes 32-bit & 64-bit)Download one of the following : (If you don't know how to tell 32bit or 64bit click here.)
VPN Client for Windows (32-bit) VPN Client for Windows (64-bit)
- Install the "JuniperSetupServiceInstaller.msi" file you just downloaded by double-clicking on the file.
Click OK.
- The InstallShield Wizard starts.
- Click Next, Next, Next, Install.
- Click Finish.
- Install the "Network Connect client you downloaded from Step #2" by double-clicking on the file.
Click OK.
Once it's finished installing click Close.
- Now onto the "How to Use" the VPN Client.
