Enabling Windows Automatic Login for the Cisco VPN Client: |
![]() |
If you need or want to enable the VPN Client prior to any Windows logon do the following. (You might need this if you are logging into a Domain or Active Directory)
Open the VPN Client.
Click “Options” and then click “Windows Logon Properties”.
Click on “Enable start before logon”.
Click OK, and then reboot (logging off alone will not be sufficient you must restart the computer to make this work)
When it reboots and you hit the Ctrl-Alt-Del to login, you will see a Cisco VPN Client window pop up and then jump back to the login screen where you will see at the lower left of the screen (normally this is where it will popup at) another Cisco VPN window. In this window if you have successfully Imported any profiles into the VPN Client you will be able to select which ever Profile you need.
